For footwear stores
Could AI explain who this shoe is for—and why to trust it?
Paste your store URL for a free estimate of how ready your public pages are for AI shopping.

For stores selling shoes, boots or sandals on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or a headless stack.
Do your product pages make fit, materials, and returns clear?
The free scan looks for fit, materials, and returns wording on the pages it reads. Shoppers ask questions like these:
- Which size and width should I order?
- What is it made of, and is it waterproof?
- Can I send it back if it doesn't fit?
- Is this shoe for running, hiking, work or everyday wear?
- What do other buyers say about it?
- How is it different from your other styles?
These are shoppers' questions, not a list of what Findwise checks. The scan looks for that wording, not whether it is complete or right. Findwise has no size, fit or width check yet.
What the free scan reads
The free scan reads up to 8 public pages of your store, such as your home page, product and category pages, and your FAQ, policy, About and guide pages. It reads at most 1 MB of each page, as your store sends it. It follows robots.txt and never logs in, adds to cart or checks out.
On those pages, and in your robots.txt, it looks at:
- AccessCrawlability
- Whether crawlers can reach and read your product and category pages, or robots.txt or a noindex tag turns them away, and whether one robots.txt rule shuts out different kinds of automated reader together.
- Product markupStructured data
- The product facts in your JSON-LD markup, such as name, brand, a product code, price, whether availability is stated, and shipping and returns details. Ratings there are compared with the ones shoppers see.
- Product copyPDP detail
- Specs, materials and fit wording, who each product is for, answers to the usual hesitations, and image descriptions.
- AdviceComparison coverage
- Your buying guides and comparison pages, whether your category pages say who each range is for, and whether your product pages link to your advice.
- Reviews and policiesTrust signals
- Whether your reviews are in the page as your store sends it, whether your shipping, returns and warranty terms can be found and read, including on your product pages, and whether you have a page about your business.
- AnswersAnswer snippets
- Your FAQ, and whether your help pages are written as short questions and answers rather than long prose.
The scan runs no scripts, so content built in the browser, such as stars a review app draws, may be missing; the report says so where it can. Each finding says where it was seen.
Free preview first. Full report when you’re ready.
Enter your email on your scan's page and the free preview opens there. It shows:
- Overall AI shopping readiness score and grade
- All six category scores
- The most important finding, with where it was seen, why it matters and a recommended first fix
- One buyer-question answer preview
- Estimated buyer-prompt coverage across four question groups
- A count of the findings held back
The full report costs $99 and adds:
- The full finding list, not a selection
- Source pages and quotes attached to each finding
- Severity, confidence, owner and recommended fix for each finding, in priority order
- The buyer-question patterns behind the estimated coverage groups
- Crawled page URLs and observed schema types
Checkout starts on a finished scan's page, for the store you scanned. Your full report opens on your private page once payment confirms, from the scan you already ran; unless that scan was already a deep one, we then run a deeper scan of your store, and its report replaces the first when it finishes.
If your product pages are too large
If every product page the scan reaches is larger than the 1 MB it reads of each page, or it reaches no product page at all, your report gives no overall score or grade, shows no score for any area it could not read in full, and says why; a paid report or a deeper scan may still have none.
Look inside a sample report
This is a scan of a sample store built from Findwise's own test pages, not a customer. The scores and findings are exactly what the scanner produced for those pages.
Questions before you scan
- Is the scan free?
- Yes, and the preview opens with your email. If the scan reads no product page in full, the preview has no overall score or grade, and says why.
- How do I start?
- Enter your store's address in the scan bar above. The scan page shows its progress while it runs; enter your email there and the free preview opens on that page. Public pages only, nothing to install.
- What does Findwise cost?
- Start with a free scan. Unlock the complete report for $99. Need an updated report later? Rescan the same store for $49.
- Does Findwise test AI assistants?
- No. Findwise reads your store's public pages and estimates how well AI shopping systems could find, understand, trust, compare, and recommend your products. Buyer-prompt coverage is always labelled Estimated, and no score is a claim about how any particular assistant answers.
- Is this a footwear-specific scan?
- No. A scan started on this page is the same free scan as one started on the homepage. It looks for fit, materials, and returns wording on the pages it reads, but Findwise has no footwear-specific checks yet.
- Does Findwise check my size, fit or width guidance?
- Not yet. Fit and sizing wording on the pages the scan reads counts as general product detail, and the Estimated coverage of size questions rests partly on it. The scan doesn't judge whether your size, fit or width information is complete or right; a dedicated size-guide check isn't built yet.
- Does Findwise check exchanges or stock by size?
- Not yet. Wording about exchanges counts as returns wording. For stock, the scan checks only whether your product markup states availability, not which sizes are in stock.
- Will Findwise publish a report about my store?
- Not without permission. Report links are long and unguessable, and report pages are kept out of search engines. We treat paid reports as private to the buyer. We do not publish a report about a named store, or use a customer's name or logo, without permission.
